A new bed bug, is referred to as a nymph, they are clear in color and changes into a bright red color after eating. To reach adulthood, a nymph bed bug has to shed its skin approximately 5 times. The average female can lay five to seven eggs weekly and can produce as much as five-hundred eggs throughout its life span of 12 months to 1 . 5 years. The eggs will hatch out within just 6 to 17 days when they become known as nymphs. Bed Bug eggs are resistant to pesticide sprays. Bedbugs hide in mattresses, carpets, blankets, clothing, underneath wallpaper, under rags, between drape folds, behind wall decorations and behind wood home furniture. They love to attack in the evening and they will remain active right up until just before daybreak. Bedbugs bite exposed skin of a man or woman sleeping in an infested bed and then leave red itchy dots.
